Poetry is a form of art that can be very much loved by the young because of its appeal (powerful concepts, evocative and emotional states of mind, musicality) or can be rejected and hated because of its difficulties (the complexity of its verses and meanings). Teaching poetry is a hard task, but it is always rewarding because it contributes to developing the students’ fantasy and sensitiveness, it enhances creativity and makes the young reflect on the language and universal themes.
